Maintaining your cartridge
- Clean the cartridge when the gauge is showing too much pressure within the filter.
- Do not scrub the filter with a stiff brush.
- Do not use a high pressure hose.
- To clean wash using a garden hose, soak in a cartridge cleaning solution and rinse with hose before replacing.
- Maintain pool or spa water chemistry in proper balance.
- You may consider purchasing two cartridges so that when you perform required maintenance you can switch between cartridges and the filter and cartridges will last longer.
- Maintaining your pool and cleaning your cartridges carefully the cartridges can last between 2-5 years however if after cleaning your cartridge the system pressure is not lower it is probably time to replace it with a new one.
